Where would we be without Ben?

He has been everything we had hoped for and is the backbone of our breeding program here at Stoneledge, & was just recognized by GRCA as an Outstanding Sire. We are so proud of the contribution our boy has made to the breed!!
Though he initially joined our family primarily as a pet, he was asked to enter the 1999 National Golden Retriever Specialty by his long time & well respected breeder of Goldens. This was the 1st step to a wonderful stud career for our boy. To date he has sired over to 30 litters & has produced sound , healthy, typey puppies with both great looks and fantastic temperaments. We are pleased to see that several of is get are doing very well in a variety of venues of competition including Rally, Obedience,Agility & Conformation (the Show Ring). In Oct.2013, a year and a half after his passing Bentley achieved the honor of being named an Outstanding Sire By The GRCA; which means that at least 5 of his direct offspring achieved titles in varying venues in the US, recognized by AKC.
He is the son of the lovely outstanding sire & Am CH Brae Lea King Of The Road, OS "Junior" & Can Ch Trowsnest Birks Road To Mandalay "Mandy ".
Ben has a lovely broad head & muzzle with wonderful facial expression.
He is short coupled , well balanced and has a dense correct water repellant coat. His charm and personality are not to be overlooked.
He has earned his CCA & CGC & is a Certified Therapy Dog & has enjoyed visiting patients in both hospital & nursing home settings.
To best describe Ben, I would say he has a real zest for life. I have never known a dog who truly enjoys every day of his life as much as Bentley. He loves all people & is wonderful with children & mixes well with other dogs.
He is truly a pleasure to have as a member of our household now and for the past 14+ years.

Frozen semen available on Bentley & is stored at Central Ave Veterinary Clinic, Seekonk, MA.; thus he is still available at stud t approve females.
